Jenny Irene is an Inupiaq artist from Nome, Alaska. Jenny's art practice centers on photography, and is interdisciplinary in her approach, including works made with video, sound, and sculpture. Her work explores identity, memory, place, and refusal. Based in Anchorage, she holds an MFA from the University of New Mexico, a BFA and a BA from the University of Washington. Jenny has received numerous honors and fellowships, including a Fulbright Canada Killam Fellowship, and made the 2023 Silver List by the Silver Eye Center for Photography. She has exhibited throughout the US and internationally at venues like the Portland Art Museum and Haus Kunst Mitte in Berlin. Jenny's work is featured in various publications and held in both public and private collections.
